FARM MARKET saturdays.png

THE FARM MARKET WILL BE CLOSED FOR SUMMER BREAK AUGUST 22 - SEPTEMBER 26TH.

WE WILL REOPEN ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 3, 2026.

The Nutty Brown Farm Market will take a brief break beginning August 22 to focus on preparing our fields for beautiful fall and spring flowers. We’ll reopen on Saturday, October 3, with hopefully cooler weather and all the treats and joy the farm has to offer. We can’t wait to welcome you back!

Thank you so much for supporting our local farmers, bakers, makers, and small businesses. We’re incredibly grateful for our wonderful community. A reminder, we are dog friendly! Bring your pups and pals on leash and kindly clean up after them.

We look forward to seeing you at the farm soon!

Meet the Farmer

Hi y’all, my name is Kim!

I’m a fourth generation Texan, born in Austin. My ancestors came to Galveston from Germany on the ship “The Sara Ann” in 1845.

My parents Ira and Beverly taught me to work hard, be honest, do your best and give back. I take these values to heart and put them into the work I do on the farm everyday.

I love sharing what I’ve learned about growing flowers. I have people say to me, “I didn’t think you could grow these flowers in Texas.” It can take a little extra care but for me it’s so worth it.

Hi, I’m Sara!

Mom of two teens, baker & pastry chef for 26 years. My focus is on producing unique yet simple sourdough loaves, scones and cookies.

My first love has always been bread.

I started my baking career in a small family owned bakery surrounded by mixers, huge buckets filled to the brim with dough and a multi deck bread oven, and it is there where I fell in love with the craft.

I went through the baking and pastry arts program at the CIA in Napa Valley and have had 10 years of experience in restaurants as a pastry chef/baker in Seattle, upstate NY and most recently for Mazama Coffee in Dripping Springs.

Hi, I’m Chris!

After 30 years as a marketing exec, now I grow flowers, raise chickens and spend my time on the farm.

Ranch 101 Flowers are grown locally at our urban garden in Austin, Texas and at our flower farm in Elgin, Texas. In addition to local cut flowers you can also find Ranch 101 handmade goods and gifts for sale in the Nutty Brown Cabin.

I'm proud to partner with Kim and Sarah to bring local wholesome goodness to the community every Saturday during the growing season. Come see us on Saturday's!  As we like to say on the farm...It's a beautiful way to start the weekend!
